Allen Iverson going to the Grizzlies

Hampton VA, native  10 time all-star Allen Iverson is going to the Memphis Grizzlies.  I don't know if this is a good look or not, but we wish him well.  A couple of weeks ago Iverson, talked about the Grizzles giving him an offer, and I guess that offer was worth it.  Iverson has been in the league since 1996 finding his most prolific position as the starting point guard for the Phildelphia 76ers, winning the eastern championship title, but they lost the NBA title against the Lakers,  then he went to Denver where him and Carmelo made it to the finals but only made it to the 2nd round. Moved to the Pistons, where he was benched due to multpile injuries.  Now he is moving on to the Grizzlies, we all know we will not ride the bench for this team. Even though A.I.up in age, he still got it.  Congratulations Iverson!!!!!

On 09/10/2009 @ 5:05am Neffe and Soullow welcomed their baby girl Nayla Noel Lavern(Frankie's middle name) Lower.  She was 5lbs 7oz and 17.5 inches long.  Congrats Neffe and Soullow on the new arrival

Here is the movie trailer from "Takers" starring Matt Dilon, Idris Elba, Tip Harris, Chris Brown, Paul Walker and many more.  Seems like a pretty good movie plot: A notorious group of criminals continue to baffle police by pulling off perfectly executed bank robberies. They are in and out like clockwork, leaving no evidence.

Getting Serious

Ok, so Im going to stop playing, if I want this I need to keep pushing.  Today is the day I declare that I will no longer fear putting myself out here with my blog.  As of Sunday 09/13/2009 I will be challenging myself and my confidence in the blog world.  I have been working on this Strait Outta VA blog site for 2 months and not many people know what I am doing.  So no more sleeping in until the boys get home, no more excuses.  With the encouragement from my husband and brother, I am eradicating fear and pressing forward.  I know I have a long way t go, but if I don't do it now, then when.......LET'S GO!!!!!!!!

Eye Candy Friday

While I was doing my daily blog searching, I came across this pic of VA's own Trey Songz.  And came up with "Eye Candy Friday".  Every Friday I will post pics of the actor, singer, etc. , and post intimate interviews from them.  I read this interview about Trey Songz a couple of weeks ago, and he got alot of buzz about a couple of lines that he stated but I feel like he keep it 100. Anyway read it from yourself.

Let's jump right in it. You are a proud supporter of porn?

Yeah. I think porn is cool.

But some things look better than they feel.

Yeah there are some things that happen in porn that some girls can never do in real life (laughs), you know what I mean, unless they are porn stars. I think that’s the cool part about it. It’s like ‘damn, that’s crazy.’

Sometimes it happens. But you can’t be looking everybody in they eye and slow grinding with candles on in every situation. I’m willing to compromise to give a woman her fantasy. But [has a girl ever gotten mad] because I won't make love to her? Nah.

Probably cry. Women are weird (laughs).

I was confused like why are you crying? She had something going on in her life you know. She was like “I can't believe I’m doing this.” I comforted her though. I think the thing that’s important between men in entertainment that do have sex with women that they don’t really know is that they do treat them with respect. I believe in a lot of scenarios — not to speculate and I know what happened like with the Tupac and Mike Tyson case — when you get a woman in a room and you treat her like a piece of trash all she got to do is say you raped her and she can very easily bring you back to earth. So I treat everyone with respect.

Is there ever a girl you've wanted that you couldn't have?
Yeah that happens every once in awhile. Usually when I can’t have what I want, I don’t take that.

You don't fight for her?
Somewhat.

You ever got anything before?

When I was like 16 or 17, this girl gave me crabs. It was the most uncomfortable shit in the world. I was confused because ain't nobody know I was having sex. So I was like damn what the fuck is going on? I even had to cut all my hair off and I had to eventually tell somebody. And had to go to the doctor.

How long did you have them for then?
Just a couple days.

Did you know the girl that gave it to you?
Yeah I did.

And you told her?
Yeah I told her. It was wild experience. We were young. And that was kind of crazy and it was the worst so when I told her she tried to deny it. And I just basically stopped talking to her.

I dont think what he said was that serious, he was young.  What do you think?
